I heart babies&hotties&puppies

Bank holiday weekend was rather eventful; from my rugby 'non' date to the rainy barbecue.

Saturday; I got bamboozled into going to watch a rugby match plus a dinner ball afterwards, just as this rugby player/enthusiast/friend of a friend also got bamboozled into taking me to his match. Adrenaline charged, port filled men and boys flying across the field and landing on each other, not exactly my idea of a Saturday bank holiday outing, although i was looking forward to the famed 'grunting', but not much of that occurred. Cheering the boys on i did get a stroke on the cheek prompting an experienced cheerer to say, "at least you get some show of affection, that's more than i ever get". I can guarantee that next time i am cajoled into rugby cheering, I'd definitely be making a picnic out of it with luxury seating arrangements, cupcakes, ice cream, the full works. Ladies! martinis at the ready, Boys! get scrumming!

Sunday's lesson; This summer make sure to eat before attending a barbecue because you risk starvation. My friend Shash invited us to her 'neighbours' barbie. The un-sexyness of the weather sure did nothing to keep us in high spirits. My fish pie held us for approximately five hours till the party food was ready to be eaten. Embezzling treats and drinks was not our finest moment, as you know i pride myself on being a chic young lady but dare i say, hunger and thirst brings out the worst in any man.

Monday; First i fell in love with my girlfriends's baby, then I fell deeply in love with that little gorgeousness in my video, now I'm a total wreck without a her. Reason two to consider rehab this summer.

Thinspiration !?

What was on the lunch menu yesterday? Lemon cake and Hot chocolate with whipped cream (rather essential topping!)
Last week, i said to A, "i think i need to see someone, i may be comfort eating, but i'm not depressed, way passed that, i'm actually in a fabulous place right now, but when i get into my apartment i just cannot stop eating." My fridge and kitchen cupboards are filled to the brim, from Green and blacks ice cream, to peanut butter to crab meat (new obsession by the way!) to flap jacks to crackers (ongoing obsession btw!). I just cannot bear to wake up and not find what i feel like eating at that particular time, so i thought it best to stock up on most of my faourites.
The other night i was watching desperate housewives on my laptop, when suddently i thought, hmmm i'd like to eat something, not hungry at all i tell you. Oven on, chicken gourjons at the ready! Her response was "ha ha ha". She did not take me seriously, i was genuinely worried, but then i guess people have real problems like getting loser boyfreinds/girlfriends, backstabbing friends, not enough shoes e.t.c. Going through a whole pack of crackers, WITH butter is not exactly SAFE. FYI: I'm famous amongst my pals for being the lady of treats, you will most likely find your treat of choice at mine.

Now I have a new problem, I call it the Stilettos-Starvation. The breakfast lover that i am, i wake up, rush rush, trying to get to whatever i have to get to for the day, i grab a flapjack, sometimes a cracker then I'm off by 4pm, a cupcake.....yum....10pm I'm dying for a buffet! (buffet symbolizes the quantity, i actually don't do buffets). I was craving plantains, so i made plantains, and that was it.

OMG! from writing this it just clicked, I'm starving because i don't have time to eat, or maybe I'm worried i might eat too much and become obese but I've never been weight obsessed, and my fridge can testify.

Are any of you as 'troubled' as i am, maybe we can be rehab-buddies???

I think I'll google 'eating disorder, or spiritual healing for food addicts'. Rehab is looking good this summer.

Toe sucking Eva

Eva Mendes' recent shoot for Vogue Italia. My fav has got to be the 'feet on boobs' picture, tres risqué, loves it! But toe sucking...Sexy??? hmmm

I'm a grubber not a clubber

This week has been .......(when i find words..ill replace this). On monday i was so excited, there was actually sun; too scared to bare my legs- just yet, i was in maxi dresses for the most part. On tuesday i came out for a well deserved dose of vitamin d. Lunch with my gal pal, 'the seductress' was delightful, rice, crab meat, prawns, spring onions (i am the queen of spring onions, when i haven't got a bunch in my fridge my friends worry), savignon blanc to top it off. Girlie dates, we love...we love...

Wednesday morning 'S' is at mine for a girlie day in; i did not wake up in great form, but something scrumptious always does the trick. Hint: come visit with cup cakes or ice cream or both. We cooked up some pomme sautéed and steak....we are steak lovers unlike some girls who pretend like its too much meat for a 'lady to eat', whatever, i say they are losing out big time. 'S' pops downstairs to snag us a bottle of rose or should i say *pink wine like someone i know; one of the perks of neighbouring a restaurant. Note: this meal was for lunch and not breakfast.

It was great to have her round as she stopped me from wearing denim pants and a lousy t-shirt to fash bash later that night. "Leeeeraaatooo, how can you wear jeans to go to a club'- i suddenly regained my senses. "So, i ended up at movida for Henry Holland's, fash bash party wearing a Luella-esque floral dresses that was flying all over the place. I couldn't believe it, i could have actually worn my jeans with slippers in fact, just like the guy who walked right past my friend and i, like wt*, then the model with the uggs. Like somebody i cant remember who said, "its better to be overdressed than under dressed". We had complimentary cocktails, then a £10 martini, which by the way, left me gobsmacked, I wouldn't mind paying £10 for a slice of cake at Sketch but this threw me off...well, that's what you get when u don't pick up the tabs. (I do a lot of the time though, i promise.)

I strained my eyes trying to count how many key pieces my fellow fashionistas were sporting; one miu miu dress, one loubies(louboutin..by the way)...a couple Chanel bags....yeah that's it...oh of course some pieces off Henry Holland's S/S 08 collection. Chit chatted here and there with Yvan - face hunter. Don't know why i just couldn't bring my own damn camera. On my way out, funny looking cross dresser-man/woman-not sure, oh behind him/her/it, was Sam Sparrow, gosh if he didn't wear so many neon looking things, perhaps i could fancy him.

Next month, I'll be back, wearing jeans and slippers, but I'll try to make them fashionable slippers like a Tory Burch or maybe more casual havainas, and ill most certainly be papping it up.
(papping = to take pictures)

For the love of shoes

After what started as an uninspiring shopping errand for 'the cuz', we finally picked up a 'treat' from the men's shoe department at selfridges, then we made the natural progression to women's shoes. What can i say...we love shoes!

Yellow: "...but you can't keep buying everything i want, its unfair"

Bounty: "well...you pay me back with your body...so it's fair!"

This bank holiday weekend; where will you be??? if I'm not out partying-eating-roaming the streets-in bed-oh! catching a flight, ill be somewhere.....shopping for shoes :-)

Chat up line of the day

"Can i take you to dinner tonight and send you flowers tomorrow?"

This is from a stalker who has become a friend(ish). We have been through some tough times, from the day he commented quite randomly on my picture, to summarizing my facebook page, to sending me emails to remind me to reply previous emails and complaining that i take too long to reply and that makes him think, "gosh i hate her so much." Yes there are people out there who get very emotional if you do not reply their messages in under 24hrs. I also have a best(ish) friend who was a pro-stalker, i call him Top wanker because he can be a wanker of the highest order, but he's still fun. Its been a year and we still haven't met, in person. I know i walk in pretty shark(y) waters. Swim actually...

Warning: In the event of being stalked in cyberspace, If none of your friends actually know the stalker in question, under no circumstances should you acknowledge the stalker, as he may be a serial killer.

Lets get Naked

Posted by Picasa

Summer is calling...lets get naked. Its mighty difficult adjusting to the change in weather; the opaque tights have become too thick, the ankle boots have become too grungy looking, the androgynous look i used to define my wintery gloom now seems all too boring, its time to stock up on maxi dresses, florals, white dresses a la Vivienne Westwood, its time to rock my high waisted denim shorts sans tights of course (yikes), okay, with sheer tights for now.

I'm already wearing tan sandals/platforms with sheer tights but i need to make that full transition to no tights and total feet nudity...oh boy...

These Ysl gold platforms are the sexiest this season, my girls and i are just mad about gladiator sandals, my favourite is the Miu Miu Jesus sandals- (yeah that's what I'd like to call it) the tan Alaia sandals are just to die for, a staple on any fashionista's must have list this season, and Christain Louboutin peep toes................................. YES PLEASE.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX PEOPLE!
do men grow cold as girls grow old, are diamonds truly a girl's best friend ??????????????????

The French are glad to die for love
They delight in fighting duels
But I prefer a man who lives
And gives expensive jewels

A kiss on the hand
May be quite continental
But diamonds are a girl's best friend
A kiss may be grand
But it won't pay the rental
On your humble flat
Or help you at the automat
Men grow cold as girls grow old
And we all lose our charms in the end
But square-cut or pear-shaped
These rocks don't lose their shape
Diamonds are a girl's best friend

Tiffany's, Cartier, Black Star
Ross Gorem
Talk to me, Harry Winston
Tell me all about it!

There may come a time
When a lass needs a lawyer
But diamonds are a girl's best friend
There may come a time
When a hard boiled employer
Thinks you're awful nice
But get that ice or else no dice
He's your guy when stocks are high
But beware when they start to descend
It's then that those louses go back to their spouses
Diamonds are a girl's best friend

I've heard of affairs
That are strictly platonic
But diamonds are a girl's best friend
And I think affairs
That you must keep a sonic
Are better bets
If little pets get big baggettes
Time rolls on and youth is gone
And you can't straighten up when you bend
But stiff back or stiff knees
You stand straight at Tiffany's
Diamonds, diamonds
I don't mean rhinestones
But diamonds, are a girl's best, best friend

Cheap n Chic

We all want a Chanel 2.55, but while some of us can afford it in a blink of an eye, some of us have to save £10 for 150 days to bag one of these babies.

Chanel 2.55 £1300 - £1500

A less expensive option by british luxury leather label, The Angel Jackson 'Segwick', absolute lux. At £162, you can buy all five colours for half the price of the 2.55, i'm gunning for the cafe creme, midnight and tokyo yellow. Total scrumptiousness.

Tokyo Yellow £162

New York fashion week favourites - RODARTE

Rodarte hit NY fashion week with their fifth super collection.

Colour, cut and construction at its best; The duo, inspired by Manga anime landscapes created incredibly elegant pieces depicting utmost femininity and lightness. "Romantic meets rock n roll".

Laura and Kate Mulleavy put a lot of work into their water coloured fabrics and hardcore shoes, with spikes and zips. I totally love the one with the zips.

The three goddess dresses were just exquisite, the pink/peach piece recently worn by Keira Knightley. Rodarte was certainly NY fashion week favourites and sure is my favourite.

1 2 3 4 i love this ....

kate nash, mouth wash...luuurve her!

I luuuuurrrve chloe

Indie actress Chloe Sevigny, recently known in BIG LOVE, the HBO show about modern polygamy.....

I cannot get enough of her vintage style, which she prefers to high fashion. She is one of my favourite style kitties, true representation of the Ugly Chic movement.
Style.com features Chloe showing off her collection for Opening ceremony. Rather excting, i'd say she wins some, she looses some. The collection includes, simple tees, tee dresses, tribal fabric tunics, embellishments, bustier tops and gingham skinny pants. The bustier tops and t-shirt dresses are my fab favourites. Dont you just love miss Sevigny???

I am your fuel for life, use me with caution!

This diesel ad is so freaking suggestive, i can't get enough of it. The website is interactive, with pictures and you can upload videos, chat with other dieselites, rather naughtie antics i'd say.

'Grey is the new Black'

ok here I am....Lerato is always (for lack of a better word) BITCHING about how I don't ever come on her blog and don't ever write anything....yadi yadi ya....well she's right! but forgive me darling, here I am and its on! you've actually got some good entertaining stuff up in here! so I'm in love with dark colours, always have....every time i look at my pictures i'm wearing black or dark colours, or in my wardrobe i see a whole section of darks, i don't necessarily go out of my way to buy darks but it just happens that way. For the Fall, I'm looking to grey and darks, never mind....there will be a tint of colour here and there. This season, designers didn't fail to represent with darks on the runway: check out Derek Lam, and my new found love Doo Ri, Stella, Celine and Biba.

Petite brat looking for a Posh hottie..

to enjoy hickie feast, theatre-dinner dates, and enjoys pulling suprises like shopping trips to Chanel and LV.
The bad weather has caused me to indulge in some worrying activities, i have never been a fan of speed/online/modern dating techniques-whatever modern is supposed to mean. Oooookay not fair to blame it entirely on the weather, as i have recently decided that Nigerian guys are a dating tragedy...sorry... nightmare. i digress...well, i found diesel dating; basically it's diesel..you know..the denim brand...they've set up this catalogue of their models whom you can contact.

I've been at it all day, that is after my daily dose of vogue.com, concrete loop, the sartorialist, topshop and i digress yet again. The girls are hotter than the guys,so not much help to me especially since i love boys, men, the opposite sex.

Viker say, "Newly graduate to meet bored forty something Mrs Robinson to start secret affair with. Your husband doesn't need to know. I spice up your daily routine."

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have also got videos of the models, which i think is top, as i can check out their asses, or lack there of. What am i thinking, I can't date a model, they'll be even more vain than i am, that won't, can't work. Maybe i should take it one step further and actually put up in a newspaper like metro or those London lites or whatever...wonder if I'll actually get replies, or at least a reply??? I might just bag a young and ambitious investment banker, young = 25 - 32. (i've got daddy syndrome, please don't judge my poor soul)

Better still an art dealer with eclectic friends as well as fashion sense, or even better an up an coming actor, or TV presenter,aristocrat...gosh.....choices......well, I'm tagged to marry a doctor, but we'll see about that.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Get down to business - Suits For Fall

Streamlined, precise tailoring, fuller pants, high tech fabrics, as well as traditional fabrics such as tweed. Salvatore Ferrangamo, TSE, Aquascutum stuck with loose fitted trousers, while Jil Sander, Tuleh and Topshop Boutique created chic fitted suits in both skirts and trousers. Disecting parts of this trend, sure its allowed with absolute class that is; I'd always go for the classic cut single breasted blazer, as well as the square shaped tweed jacket preferably in tweed or pinstripe.

Yes tweed is back.

Knits

BURBERRY PRORSUM

STELLA McCARTNEY

This is one of my favourite recurring trends; chunky knits playing with proportions, textures and still versatile. We have knits as sweater dresses, belted coats....Stella McCartney never fails at producing the sexiest sweater dresses.

fall fantastic

After the half assed summer we have had in London, I am looking forward to my sweater dresses, tights and ankle boot, and of course the biggest leather bag in my closet. Fall 07/08, exciting trends, not entirely new but creative, like new collections by my personal favourites such as Duro Olowu and the Body Con King - Christopher Kane.

I know I've been an awful blogger, blame it on the champers campagne...lol...but, I'm back and buzzing with exciting features for this season. We have got inspiration from decades like the 20's, 40's and 70's, metallics are still hot, knits of course remain one of my favourites, the statement coat, body con, black is also bringing sexy back as well as colour....sexy colours like canary yellow, teal, burgundy...Giambattista Vali and Chloe are really working it.........check it out!!!!

Toasting with the fashion faries

There was so much traffic, I didn't realise it was the inaugural match at Wembley. I had make up all over the place, I'm not one to care most times, but if i looked as shitty as i felt, then there was no way i was going to disgrace Zara at fashionville.

Okay then, Nottinghill here i am, with my one nation beige blazer and D$Gesque patent strapped heels..they really are magic shoes. i remember trying them on at selfridges, Zara said....oh no....but the next day i was back there...Prisca said oh yeeeaaahhh...so i got em. Okay i know i digressed a bit, salut Cherie (hi darling) mua/mua... walking into my dream closet - Matches boutique in nottinghill, well not entirely, actually Karl lagerfeld's showroom is my ideal closet....am sorry...again...

yeah i was saying kissed Zara salut et oh my, louboutin's which i now call lou lou's, the dolce and gabbana lbd I would so love to wear to my birthday party. OK now where my glass of champagne.....i asked around, as i joined the party, drinking, chatting away, i was quite comfortable, you know being very used to classic snobbery, both as a giver and a receiver, but no they wouldn't leave me to it. We partied the night away...after i had a Thai chicken curry and a martini lemonade...while Zara was engrossed in conversation with the o***** man...lol

I've stayed over at Zara's a fair bit already, and there's never anything for me to eat...neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I need fuel as i had a lot to do today, like travel back home, get something decent to eat, sleep, feel guilty about not going to church and of course completely dishonour plans i had to meet a certain somebody...
gotta go back for my lou lou's though...................................
